Volunteers Make A Difference

Building a Strong Volunteer Community

There are many opportunities for parents and guardians to become involved at The Catherine Cook School.  Volunteers are an important part of the community.  They offer their time and talent and in return reap the rewards of contributing to the success of the school and its students.  Whatever your schedule, abilities or interests, there is a volunteer opportunity for you.

Why Volunteer at CCS?
  1. It's a great way to meet other parents and forge new friendships.
  2. Volunteers are positive role models for our students.
  3. Volunteer contributions significantly and positively impact the community.
  4. It is an opportunity to learn more about your child's education.
  5. It is a great way to get know faculty and staff.

Volunteer Handbook

The Volunteer Handbook provides a detailed explanation of the opportunities to get involved in the CCS Community.  Parents help support students in a variety of ways--volunteering in the classroom, serving on the PA, supporting The Catherine Cook School Fund, or working on the Annual Benefit Committee.  Generous volunteers help make a CCS education extraordinary.

If you're interested in volunteering for a special event or program, please download and complete the Volunteer Reply Card and return it to school.

Field Trip Chaperones

One of the most popular ways for parents to get involved and be a part of student life at CCS is to chaperone a Class Field Trip.  Opportunities to chaperone are communicated by each classroom teacher.  Teachers and Room Parents work hard to give everyone who is interested a chance to chaperone a field trip.  Chaperoning is an important responsibility that we take very seriously.  Anytime our students step out of the buiding we have an additional responsibility to ensure their health and safety.  Please review the Field Trip Chaperone Guidelines in advance of your child's class trip to be sure you understand your roles and responsibilities - and have fun!
